Lesya Liu is a Ukrainian-born creative portrait photographer based in Denver, CO. Three years ago, Lesya picked up a camera and started taking pictures of her surroundings and friends. She has found portrait photography to be most fascinating because of the appeal of human face and possibility to capture unique personalities. Since then, this self-taught photographer has developed her unique style. She is fascinated by processes of creative search and the conception of imagery. Her works has been published in multiple photography magazines around the world. Her photos feel warm and soft, because she finds beauty and visual allure to be very important to any viewer. She draws inspiration from works of French Impressionists, such as Claude Monet, for their ability to capture subtle details of a single moment. Brought up on the classic art imagery, she adds her own personal atmosphere. She creates energetic images that invite viewers not only with high technicality, but with warmth and affection. Lately, she’s been extremely interested in abstract and surreal photography. In the free time, she photographs (yes!), listens to music and reads. She likes restaurants, museums and art galleries. Lesya is passionate perfectionist and dreamer, because perfection has no limits.

Pozdravljam na staroslavenskom:
Zivo zdravo!
Hi. Nice photo’s! I like the experimental ones most. (Tip: get yourself a prime (Canon 50mm/F1.8 Is not very expensive; or a 2nd hand F1.4); it will be sharper; better in low light; and better bokeh.). Thanks for visiting/following my blog. Keep experimenting! Cheers, harrie.
Really cool blog you have here!

Thank you, lesya, for adopting Gwichyaa Zhee!
Hi Lesya – looking forward to checking out your blog :-)
Great! Welcome.
thanks for the like and deciding to follow my blog. I have a Rebel XSI and love taking pictures with it. If you like doing portraits I would suggest trying out a Canon 50mm f1.8 lens. It is only around $100 US and is great for some macros and for portraits. There is no image stabilizer in it but you can get really sharp shots under the right circumstances, especially when using a tripod. The shots you liked on my recent post were taken with the 50mm lens.
Cool! I have a Rebel T2i Canon. I also recently acquired the lens you’re talking about – love it.
I really enjoy your blog :) I have nominated you for Sisterly Love Award. http://aniaarcher.wordpress.com/2012/11/24/random-facts-from-my-life-sisterly-love-award/

officially following you :)
I have nominated you for The Versatile Blog Award! It’s OK if you do not accept this award, but I nominated you because I really like you blog. Visit my recent post if you do decide to accept this award, and nominate 15 or so fellow bloggers! :)
What camera do you use, and do you always use a 18-55?
Great photos btw!
I use Canon Rebel T2i. I usually use 18-55, sometimes 55-250, like in the “About Hawaii” post. I am pretty new to “serious” photography and have a limited budget. But, as of right now, 18-55 works for me, because I am mostly interested in portraits and some macro.
Thank you.
